Hey, how’s it goin?
I’m Dr. Ali
Doctor of Physical Therapy. Personal Trainer. Nutrition Coach.
Host of Running to the Castle Podcast.
The runDisneyDPT on Instagram.
I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012 and immediately started working in outpatient orthopedics.
At my first position I was one of the Physical Therapists for Runners where we provided free gait analyses and strength assessments for local running groups and gave them home exercise programs to optimize their running.
I continued working in other outpatient orthopedic clinics helping patients with back and core problems, Runner’s Knee, Meniscus problems, IT Band Syndrome, Achilles tendinitis, Posterior Tibialis Tendon Dysfunction, Plantar Fasciitis Shin Splints and more.
In 2018 I created my own business to see patients with orthopedic injuries in their home. Since then I have added personal training and nutrition certifications to provide even more assistance to meet my running clients’ needs.
Now I work completely remotely helping injury-prone runDisney runners across the country build strength, add mile and cross the finish line.
For the injury-prone runDisney runner ready to...
Get stronger so you stop getting injured
Do any of these sound familiar?
“What exercises should I do for [insert injury here]?”
You’ve done other workouts from Peloton, Apple Fitness+ or YouTube but you’re still injured.
You’ve tried lifting heavy weights but that just leaves you feeling worse and unable to exercise or run for days…completely crushing any semblance of consistency.
If any or all of those sound familiar this is the workshop for you. You’ll learn exactly what exercises to do when you’re injured, how much weight to lift so you can avoid being sore for days so you can make progress with your strength and running and stop getting injured.
FAQs
-
To know how much weight you should use during your strength workouts you’ll need weights that are light to heavy. In this live workshop we’ll have time to go through up to 3 muscles assessments.
-
We’re going to be going through the assessment together live during the workshop so that’s obviously going to be your best bet but if you absolutely can’t make the call I will be sending out a replay the next day.
